According to Aaron Wilson from Scout.com the Houston Texans have an upcoming workout with South Carolina State’s safety, Jakar Hamilton. Hamilton played safety for the Bulldogs and was a transfer from Georgia in 2011 claiming he needed a “fresh start”.
At South Carolina State, Hamilton returned kicks and played in nine games in 2012 with his stand out game versus the Texas A&M Aggies. He had 7 total tackles with 1.5 TFLs versus the Aggies in the late September game. His stats are not eye-popping, but his measurables are drawing teams interest.
During his Pro Day on March 27th he posted a 4.51 40-yard dash.
